Coke Studio Africa Season 5 elevated the platform by uniting some of Africa’s biggest stars with international talent. The season featured tresor (DRC), Jason Derulo (USA), Nasty C (South Africa), Eddy Kenzo (Uganda), Sheebah (Uganda), and Run Town (Nigeria), creating bold fusions that showcased African music on a global stage among many others.
Our goal as kreative Vault was to capture the full story documenting both the behind-the-scenes moments and the powerful on-stage performances that defined the season.

Challenges
With multiple artists performing and collaborating simultaneously, the production environment was fast-paced and high-pressure.
The task was to consistently capture authentic, high-quality visuals that balanced candid backstage interactions with the scale and energy of live performances, all while aligning with Coca-Cola’s global brand standards.

The task was to consistently capture authentic, high-quality visuals that balanced candid backstage interactions with the scale and energy of live performances, all while aligning with Coca-Cola’s global brand standards.

Results
We applied a documentary-style approach that blended storytelling with performance coverage. Backstage, we focused on candid photography to showcase the personalities, chemistry, and creative process behind the collaborations. On stage, we prioritized dynamic angles, lighting, and movement to capture the intensity of live performances.
The visuals were widely used across Coke Studio’s digital channels and by influencers, amplifying fan engagement and strengthening Coca-Cola’s connection with its audience across Africa.
