A Self-Service Event Ticketing Platform for the Kenyan Market
Evnts by Dinaro set out to replace the manual, fragmented event ticketing experience in WhatsApp groups, cash at the door, and commission-heavy third-party operators with a modern self-service platform. The goal was dual: give event organizers full autonomy to set up events, track sales, and manage on-site check-ins without relying on support, while delivering attendees a fast, frictionless single-page ticket purchase experience. Kreative Vault designed the complete UI/UX for both web and mobile covering every screen, flow, and interaction for both user types.

Challenges
Designing for Two Very Different Users in One Product
Multi-sided platforms are the hardest category of UI/UX work because decisions that serve one user type can create friction for another. Organizers needed a self-service event setup flow they could complete independently, a real-time sales dashboard readable at a glance, and a QR code scanner that worked reliably under venue lighting on mid-range Android devices. Attendees needed a single-page purchase flow that minimised steps and uncertainty, prominent event imagery that drove conversion, and a checkout experience that felt trustworthy on variable mobile data connections. Journey mapping revealed the two highest-friction moments: for organizers, it was the event setup flow too many options presented at once; for attendees, it was the payment step uncertainty about whether the transaction would succeed caused abandonment. Both insights directly shaped the final design.

Organizer Autonomy. Attendee Simplicity. Strong Market Differentiation.
The platform launched with a self-service organizer flow that eliminated the need for support intervention at every event creation reducing operational overhead and allowing the business to scale without proportionally growing its team. The single-page attendee checkout significantly reduced cart abandonment compared to multi-step flows. The on-site QR scanner handled high volumes at venue entrances consistently across device types and lighting conditions. The platform's distinctive dark-themed UI designed to make event photography and visuals pop generated strong positive feedback and clear differentiation in a market dominated by generic light-mode products. Evnts by Dinaro is now positioned as a modern, reliable alternative to legacy ticketing processes , with a product experience that sets a new standard for event management platforms across board.
